The room was a standard size, with double bed and pull out couch. I cannot recommend having anyone sleeping on the couch, as it was old and worn, springs coming out of the mattress. Bathroom was fairly clean, could've been worse.
The place has free parking, free use of a sandy beach, on very, long, shallow water. Great for kids, but not for adults who are looking for a swim. Paddle boats rentals cost $35 per hour, ridiculous price for old, battered boats. There's an indoor pool, and a jacuzzi, which were ok.
In general, the hotel is a 2-star rating. Definitely needs modernization. Staying there in this quiet location for a short time is acceptable.

Very pretty location and the food is good sometimes excellent! But the service is...well unfriendly. It wouldn't hurt to smile and at least pretend you like your job. We had an older gentleman that just wanted to get away from us. I had a steak sandwich that was ŕeally good but why oh why did you serve us little packages of ketchup that had been sitting in the sun on a 30' day? You could practically see the botulism growing.

We stopped by to get some drinks and a quick bite to eat and we were very happy with the service, their burgers were juicy and delicious and they had a good choice of beers. Their beer wasn't the freshest but it was still good by all means. Their prices were very good too. Would definitly recommend for people travelling through Lagoon City.

A great place to watch the boat traffic to and from Lagoon City. The steak sandwich was good, cooked exactly as requested. The fries I also enjoyed. $7.50 a beer is at the maximum I'm willing to pay. Still all in all, worth the visit.

My wife and kids went for two days. Staff was good but resort a little run down. Tennis court in dismay, pool and hottub was good, didn't try sauna. Beach full of feathers, shad fly casings and crayfish claws, and goose poop. Balcony was about 12 inches long, basically just spare roof. Room was good pullout bed not ok. Not much for the kids to do. Don't recommend/won't be going back

Just went there on July 7th. Had beer and nachos on the outside deck beside the canal while a guy named Mr.Finch totally rocked it playing guitar and vocal. Nice ambience although they could ramp up the nachos a bit. I will go back to hear him play again for sure.

My family has been coming here for 30 years, and I’ve been coming here all my life, and will continue to go so. The location next to the lagoon is amazing, when booking, get a ground floor room facing the lagoon.

However, the place has been slowly draining in quality over the past few years. The pool jets are covered in rust, the top deck is covered in dead bugs. The restaurant is overpriced. And worst of all, I found a rat trap underneath the pullout couch.

Friendly staff and clean room. The pool is nice as are the hot tub and sauna (make sure you bring a lock if you plan to leave valuables outside of your room as there are lockers available by the pool).

If you're looking for a place to stay near Lake Simcoe, this is a good value option.

On Saturday May 12th, 2018 we celebrated our wedding at the resort. The resort Management made this process an absolute pleasure with their professionalism and suggestions to make our day perfect. We had 75 guests attend and the banquet room was perfect. The chef prepared food was second to none. The hotel staff/servers were very courteous, helpful and went out of their way to make our day perfect. Our guests enjoyed their hotel accomodations. We would highly recommend the Lagoon Harbour Resort & Hotel with it's beautiful Lake Simcoe setting.

A great place to stay. A little out dated furnishings but the restaurant and patio have great views and enthusiastic staff. Our complimentary breakfast was a great omlet that we enjoyed in our room. Pet friendly too.

This place is a hidden gem that we never knew about before, until our friends had discovered it through on one of the Groupon deals.
It is so beautifully located and it is very clean and cozy but most of all has a wonderful and friendly personnel that makes you fall in love with it immediately from the time you check in until the check out.
Special thanks to the manager Mike who is very tentative and tries to accommodate all your requests to make your stay more pleasant; our room service, the restaurant and the waitress for our dinner and also to Leah, our waitress at breakfast who, without being asked, went out of her way and even brought out a piece of cake once she learned that it was our friend's birthday !
We were a group of 12 and each and everyone left highly impressed. Will go back again, for sure!
Thanks Knights Inn Harbour for giving us a weekend to remember!

Rate was reasonable and room comfortable. Pool and hot tub were nice to use. Restaurant is overpriced for okay food. Paid $9 to add 3 shrimps to a salad.

Not a bad place to visit. I went in-between seasons so there wasn't much to do. It's an older style Inn with large sized rooms. Very un modern.

The hotel staff was pleasant, price was great, location was beautiful. The restaurant was very quick and the food was fabulous. The rooms were very clean and well kept even if a little dated. Would recommend this hotel to anywhere in the area, or for a nice getaway.

Great ambiance, amazing view of the Lake. Room was ok. Bed was not made in the room when we arrived. Pool and Sauna was nice, Jacuzzi jets were weak. Place needs to be dusted in the public washrooms. Food was alright! Live band was ok. Hospitality was very nice.

Great location and customer service! Near by the lake simcoe in Lagoon City; quite and cute hood along with a small but very clean beach by the shore! Amazing landscape around. Rooms were clean with a beautiful view to the lake! Will come back for sure!

8

Have been here twice for anniversaries a while back. Very rustic feeling. Well kept rooms, beach is small but quaint not too many people. Love the restaurant very good food and a great view especially if you are sitting on the patio. (See photo attached) Indoor pool/jacuzzi is good too. Only major criticism was the breakfast was slightly embarrassing, should be revised.

The rooms are all you'd really need. We got a lagoon view room which has a great view, couch, bed, small tv, balcony. The beds aren't that comfortable for me, and there's a stove with no elements on it. The area is quite nice though. The restaurant was difficult to get service in though, but once our drinks came, they were fine.

Great place for a getaway. Was able to rent non motorized water sport. All the staffs were very nice and helpful. Dinner was good (staffs and food) however breakfast staff was very condescending. Wifi was terrible, but with such nice scenery, who needs the Internet. Would go again

Located in one of the best kept secrets in Ontario (Lagoon City), the Knights Inn Harbour Resort is a quaint and quiet place to relax. We stayed in a lagoon side room, walk out and fish off the dock, nice view of the boats going by. The resort is older so don't expect anything flashy and fancy but the staff are friendly and very helpful. A private beach is located about 2 minutes away with knee deep water for 100m. Highly recommended.

We read a lot of bad reviews about this place but decided to see for ourselves. It isn't the Marriot and is a little worn but the whole ambience and location more than makes up for it. We had a 2nd floor suite overlooking the lagoon and the view is fabulous. We will definitely come again.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are well maintained. A little pricey because they put the rates up for the August long weekend. All-in-all a nice place to stay and will definitely come again.

Positive things about this knights inn : LOCATION! Right in lagoon city, steps from the beach.paddle boat for rent at $20 per hour. customer service was superb. The gentleman at the front desk was outstanding and helped us check in with ease
NOT GREAT THINGS : I paid for a Lakeview room, received a room with a big tree covering the "Lakeview". We were in a suite, with a king bed. Room was very outdated, toilet flushes really loudly and carpet needs updating as they were dirty, spotted and smell like mildewy.pillows were also thin. AC had a strange humming sound and seem to explode when turning off. We had free breakfast as our part of our package, it was a cold plate of overcooked sausage, a spoon of scrambled eggs and a piece of bacon with toast. The beach is NOT a private hotel beach as advertised but a " private beach" for Lagoon City residents. There is a beach patrol who will harass you if you don't have your bracelet. Restaurant on-site was soso, and dirty ( check pics of plate and fork) .

Lovely, clean quiet inn to stay at. We stubbed toes on foot of bed several times. Good breakfast. Helpful staff and good service. Not able to connect to internet but busy with a wedding so not much time to spend on computer anyway.

We had a large room with a balcony facing over the canal. The room was clean the bed was very comfortable. We had a small kitchenette but no glasses or knives which would have been useful. The food was good but not spectacular. Try the halibut fish tacos and the calamari. All the little lagoons and canals were really interesting

Wonderful off the beaten path place with nice views of Lake Simcoe from the outdoor patio restaurant. Band on weekend in bar and special activities show the owners actively make your stay interesting. Many rooms with walkouts to grass facing the river. A place you will want to revisit in the future.

Harbour Inn (now "Knights Inn") was initially a European establishment, which worked well given the demographic of the area at the time. Things changed a lot though, and even now it is a far cry from what it once was. The demographic is rapidly changing, and with it, the business strategy. The place used to be filled with locals and boaters, now... I don't know. Last time I walked in, I saw exclusively Chinese signage, Chinese management, and unrecognizable buses rolling in, so things are obviously completely different now.

Fortunately, the style remains the same, with the beautifully old-German look, which couples nicely with the well-maintained Lagoon City beach (a few steps away). Another good take-away is that a short walk or car ride away, there's a family owned Italian restaurant worth checking out (Lanterna) if you want to try something different in terms of food. Additionally, there's a little food stand on the beach (run by pleasant locals) if you just want a small quick bite on demand. If all that fails, there's a Tim Horton's ~7-10 minutes away by car.

I can't comment on the rooms, as I've never had to stay there, but from what I've seen and been told, they're nothing special; I just know the area (Lagoon City) itself is nice. One piece of advice I'd give if you're staying for a period of time is to bring mosquito repellent (you'll need it for the evening) and wear sunscreen, especially if you burn easily (don't be a hero, the water reflects A LOT of rays; I've gotten so burnt in Lagoon City that it crusted, which is crazy given that I didn't even get it that bad the numerous times I frequented Mexico's beaches).
