Beautiful rooms. Clean and fresh and the staff is always friendly. The area is a bit noisy as we were in the room by the elevator. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed my stay here. The decor fits with the name, and love the shuttle service to the airport and back. The drinks at the bar are expensive, but happy with everything ells.

What an absolute surprise... this is a great hotel. We just arrived home after 3 weeks in the USA and the people here are so friendly and helpful... once again south Africa showing how great we are as people...
From outside of the building it's clean and well kept. The reception is nicely decorated and the room is very comfortable,spacious and modern. The dinning area is well layed out and again everyone is polite and helpful..
I can highly recommend it...

It was a very pleasant stay, the location is perfect due to the fact it is near the airport. The food was also very delicious, I ordered the chicken senotri. Came with salad and fries. Delicious flavor and the customer service was amazing. my room was a perfect size and everything was very clean and neat. I highly recommend the place exspecially for the price you can get a room. There is a beautiful pool and also the facility is very nice. Also keep in mind every room does have a safe which is highly important

Lucy at the front desk was very accommodating to our special situation — we had 20 suitcases and were relocating to the continent from South America, and were early and exhausted. She gave us a comfortable place to wait while the attentive staff helped with ALL of our luggage and prepared our room early along with an adjoining room for our children... For weary and exhausted travelers, The Aviator gets our vote for hospitality, comfort and price!

staff are always friendly and accommodating. the facilities are also always well looked after. the overall atmosphere is quiet relaxing, which makes it quite hard to concentrate when the venue is used as a workshop hotspot! ;-)

Nice hotel. We were upgrade to an adjoining room for the kids. Nice quaint hotel. Nice pool. Rooms are fairly modern. Minor wear and tear like carpet in the room being pulled, missing / broken towel hooks. Nothing big just well used but not worn out. There is a good breakfast included with most rates.

Perfect stop off place near the airport with a good shuttle bus service. Food was good.

Excellent! I checked in after midnight. The securities at the gate were very helpful and friendly. The gentleman at the reception was efficient. Even asked where I parked my car and suggested that I move my car closest to my room which was very convenient. He even noticed it was my birthday, which was very impressive on checking in at that hour. BIG UPS TO THE STAFF. THE ROOM WAS SO SPACIOUS, Immaculate and exceeded All my expectations.

Basic but oddly aeronautic themed place. The staff is kind and helpful and the rooms tidy and clean. Bring earplugs ;)

I think hygienic wise is poor. And customer service not so good. But if you want a cheap one I think is affordable.

Great conference experience... committed staff who go the extra mile!! Would definitely recommend it for conference or even major events like matric dances...

The employees are some of the best you will ever get. The room are nice and the food is great much better than most places around from franchises. They need to improve the Tv channel selection to keep business people happy and increase dish for better signal. Thank you Aviation staff for making our two days great.

Attended a function and the service was excellent and the facility was splendid. Parking is offered and is tight, but parking attendant made it painless.

Always never disappointing.. Conferencing up to T and staff members and the chef are amazing. Love it for business and the conference rooms are accommodative and sound Prof....

Although hotel and staff are tops, the dinner is pricey. R220 (that is buffet, soda and tip).
The Hake and Cream spinach were excellent though. Which kinda justified the price.

Great hotel, which is close to the airport which is about a 5 minute drive. Easy access to the city. Great accommodations, recently remodeled and very nice staff.

About a week ago friends of mine spend a night for my cousin's bridal shower.
The service from front office, banqueting, breakfast area was totally outstanding , the rooms were clean and spacious - quite luxury.
Lucy Mokwana was exceptional, I would rate her and her colleagues 5 star

Good Airport hotel - Excellent service, we have stayed here 4 times over the years, nice clean rooms, good linens, food good, nice people, fair price. they have a shuttle that is free that goes to the airport which is only 5 minutes. Will stay again on our next trip, thanks to the staff for such nice friendly, good service

If you are looking for a nice hotel which is safe and close to the airport, this is the place to be. Friendly staff who go out of their way. Good food. Ja, it is noisy but what else do you expect? Pick up your people and get out of the city!

Good hotel at the price point. It's like 3 km from the airport so quite ideal for the transit passengers who also wish to catch a glimpse of the City.

Being close to the airport you also hear the humming sound of the airplanes as they take off or land. But frankly the sound was not irritating and I could sleep very easily.

Been here more than 5 times for a reason as it's without a doubt a great place with great staff from management staff and the chef of cause the chef and the food

I always stay here with my family when we are connecting through joburg. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There is some airport noise but it is really not bad when you are in the rooms. There are local grocery stores which you can walk to for food shopping but the restaurant is also very good.

Came for a one night stay there was no WiFi, washroom door was off the hinges, and non working TV so overall it was passable since the place is clean and rooms are comfortable. There is also an airport shuttle for this hotel.
I didn't understand the great reviews over the breakfast but to each there own.

Decent hotel. Just comfortabel for a night. Free shuttle service from the airport. English breakfast. Not appropriate for vegetarians.

Food is excellent, and the decor and atmosphere are very interesting - appeals to the adventure seeker.

Good hotel for a nights stay in Johannesburg

Free airport shuttle. Beautiful lobby decor themed on aviation. After a late check in, we were hoping to be able to sleep in in the large confortable bed but unfortunately the housekeepers decided to deprive us from sleeping... They were LOUD! Yelling, laughing... front desk called them but it didn't make a difference. The manager later on let us check out later to catch up with our precious sleep... If having breakfast, it ends a 10:30am but would recommend being there before 10am. When I went at 10, almost nothing was left, the buffet has not been replenished a notch... It's unfortunate, this hotel has a great potentiel...

Calm in the middle of chaos

Good hotel. Beds are chill and rooms are nice. They have a swimming pool which is nice to stay cool. Breakfast is very versatile and the atmosphere is good.
