Certifications
Rainforest Allliance Certified

Rainforest Alliance Verification evaluates and improves businesses' commitment to sustainability, measuring their progress and helping to prepare them to become certified. Also, in countries where no certification program exists, it offers businesses a benchmark - which helps them determine where they stand - and demonstrates their achievements to others. Once a business gets Rainforest Alliance Verification, it needs to become certified within two years by a certification program, if one is available where the business is located. The Rainforest Alliance has also launched a website for those seeking a green-certified tourism operator in Latin America or the Caribbean.
LEED Silver

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) standard, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. It certifies that green buildings meet standards of energy efficiency, conservation, and community sensitivity.
LEED-certified buildings reduce energy and water by as much as 40%. LEED-certified buildings save resources and have a positive impact on the health of occupants while promoting renewable, clean energy.
USGBC's rating system has four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Green Building Councils in other countries have similar programs.

Moments after I accidentally left my passport at the front desk, I thought, "I'm not going to worry because I know they will take care of me." Sure enough they located my luggage and passport before I even contacted them. Incredible service, beautiful resort, delicious food, unforgettable experience!!

Daniel & Lutz (Resort Management) and the entire team made our 20th anniversary with friends and family AMAZING! The attitude of everyone that works at this resort is impressive and a testament to the management style. I have never seen this type of environment at other hotels.
We were spoiled from the minute we were greeted at the airport. (Worth every penny of the $350 roundtrip to book the hotel transportation - It's one of the best parts of the trip - as you don't stress over ANYTHING!) You are whisked away into a beautiful SUV that is well stocked for the 45 minute drive...cold water and beer, snacks, candy, Wi-Fi.
We booked the Beachfront Suite - We never even went to the pools as you have your own private plunge pool at the suite PLUS your beach chairs and the full service right at your suite from the Beach attendants. (We love Diego at the Beach - Amazing Service!) Everything you get at the main pools, you get at your Beachfront Suite. These rooms are the most expensive room category, but in my opinion, the way to go for this type of trip. We LOVE the linens they use and the nightly turn down is the best. The way your room smells when you walk in after dinner is fantastic.
The beach has had major improvements from last year! They have brought in tons of soft white sand and they have added palm trees at each end of the beach property - VERY NICE.
The food and service at each of the restaurants was as amazing as remembered...We love the breakfast - it is impressive! Casa Del Lago at night is special and they will literally prepare you anything you ask for if they have the ingredients in the kitchen. Shout out to Angel, Carlos, Johnny, and William for always taking such good care of us!
We can't wait to get back to this resort later this year or next year for sure.
Do not hesitate to book your trip now - :)
